Between 1975 and 1979 - during Pol Pot's regime, more than two million people were murdered. But out of the ruins of war a great miracle is happening - thousands of Cambodians are embracing the healing power of God's Word.
Evangelical churches are growing rapidly - from only 700 believers in 1970 to an estimated 254,000 in 2004.
"The Scripture is the primary tool God uses, especially with Buddhists, who are encouraged to seek enlightenment from Holy writings," says Bible League's Southeast Asia Director.
During 2004, through prayers and gifts from people like you, God richly blessed Bible League's ministry in Cambodia. Bible League was able to place 95,000 Scriptures, plant 254 new churches and 12,691 people were discipled into church membership. Last year, more Cambodians than ever received Christ's saving grace through the
Project Philip evangelism and discipleship program.
Please pray for:
- The continued openness of the people to seek the truth in Christ.
- For the supply of more New Testaments and Bibles.
It costs only £2.70 to print, ship, and place a Bible in a Christian worker's hands.
That Christian worker can then use it to disciple a person to the point of baptism
and church membership.
Where else can you have such an impact for only £2.70 ?
