Indonesia

Many Indonesian church leaders in 2004 used Scriptures and training provided through Bible League's Project Philip to nurture the faith of their congregations. Nearly 40% of Project Philip graduates were children!

Christ's saving grace is transforming the lives of thousands of Indonesia's youth. Rana, a former Muslim, says:

"I hated Christians but I was drawn to the Christians because of their lives and the joy of their singing. I became involved with them and began to believe in Jesus.

"I was immediately rejected, beaten by my mother and had my hands bound. I was afraid they were going to shoot me. They finally kicked me out of the house with only the clothes on my back.

"Twice when I was feeling times of doubt, Jesus revealed himself to me. Thank God He took care of me."

"Stories like this illustrate the power of the Gospel," says the Director of Southeast Asia, "even in a culture that offers little spiritual help for people who are in the grip of sin."

Please pray for the 131,087 Bible study graduates and 133 new churches that were established in 2004, because of support of believers like you.

It costs just £2.70 to print, ship and place a Bible into the hands of someone old or young, someone like Rana, whose life will be transformed when God's Word is read.
