Worldwide shortage of Scripture
puts believers at risk

500 million Christians worldwide do not have a Bible.

And the worldwide shortage continues to intensify. In many countries, the Christian community does not have enough Bibles for every church member to have their own copy. Without the Bible, these Christians struggle further to:

  • grow in faith
  • withstand persecution
  • reach out to others
Although no one can know the exact number, The Bible League estimates that at least 2 billion people in our world will eagerly receive and read the Scriptures if presented with the opportunity. A significant number of these would become believers in Jesus Christ through this activity.
