| Q: Did they obey God's command? | 4/13 |
| No. They choose to live their own way rather than God’s way. They sinned against God. | |
"When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her and he ate it." (Genesis 3:6) |
| Q: What is the result? | 5/13 |
| Once sin entered the world it affected everyone who has ever lived. The result is physical death and spiritual death (separation from God). | |
"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned." (Romans 5:12) |
| Q: Did God abandon them? | 6/13 |
| No. God is gracious and merciful. Yet, he is also just. God cannot let sin go unpunished, so he gives his people salvation. | |
"The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished." (Numbers 14:18a) |
| Q: What is this salvation? | 7/13 |
| God sent Jesus Christ to come to earth. He is the eternal SON OF GOD who lived an absolutely PERFECT life. | |
"This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17) |
| Q: What is this salvation? | 8/13 |
| Jesus has won a glorious victory over sin and death by dying on the cross and resurrecting from death. By this he restores lost humankind to fellowship with God. | |
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." (John 3:16-17) |
| Q: What must we do to receive this salvation? | 9/13 |
1. REPENT |
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing many come from the Lord." (Acts 3:19) |
| Q: What must we do to receive this salvation? | 10/13 |
2. ACCEPT Jesus Christ, through faith, as Saviour and Lord. |
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) |
| Q: What if we accept Jesus's gift of salvation? | 11/13 |
God is willing to forgive all our sins and we will become His children. |
"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." (Isaiah 1:18b) |
| Q: What if we do not accept Jesus's gift of salvation? | 12/13 |
We are still under God's judgement. BUT... God is calling YOU to return to him... |
"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son." (John 3:18) |

What is your response? God is calling you to accept his gift...
